Captain David Longenecker, Fire Marshal of the Lancaster City Bureau of Fire, will present “A Pandemic of Fire Prevention: The 3 E’s — Engineering, Education & Enforcement” during the C&I Council’s October 14th Zoom Meeting at 8:30 a.m.
The response to COVID-19 demonstrates that Americans and people everywhere can focus their energies to make their most important environments (namely homes and workplaces) safe from exigent threats to their personal health and safety. By adapting and directing this same vigilance to fire prevention and fire safety, we can curtail accidental and unwanted unfriendly fires.
Engineering, Education and Enforcement are at the bedrock of a comprehensive, modern approach to preventing fires that would otherwise take lives and destroy property daily, weekly, monthly and annually.
October is fire prevention month.
